Once upon a time, Dragons were plentiful, and they walked and flew and swam and slithered in all four corners of the world. Dragons were patrons of the arts, and practioners. They wrought many wonders. They sang and danced, wrote intricate plays and fabulous stories, wove wonderous fabrics, and crafted magnificent objets dart of precious metals and gems. Everywhere, they were revered.
Then the dark ages came. Gods rose to power, and were jealous of the dragons, their influence, and their beauty. The gods salted the world with malcontent. They set man against the dragons, and the dragons suffered.
Many dragons died. Those remaining became angry and bitter. They went into hiding. But slowly, the gods died, lost interest, went away, and the dragons came back.
Dragons are not creatures of time and space as we know it. They move through time in ways we do not understand. When electronic communications were born, the dragons moved in. They now inhabit the net. You can find them if you look. They speak to us through our terminals. They whisper over our modems. They race over T1s and slalom through switches. Sometimes they breath fire on our programs, and they die. Such is their sense of humor.
Welcome to DragonCrafted, a sampling of some of the wonders created by this new breed of dragons. |
